Britton Scalf

Britton was born about 1799 in ,,North Carolina.¹   Britton's father was John Scalf and his mother was Edead Edeah Carlisle.  His paternal grandfather was Lewis Scalf. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named John, William, William, Berryman, Ira, Lee, Jesse, Peter, Robert, Mary, Nancy, Dicey, Lydia, Elizabeth and Cecelia.  He was the fifth oldest of the sixteen children.
