Richard and Mary E. apparently left MO and moved to TX about 1855 and it
appears they may have joined her brother John Overton Parr in Harrison
Co.,
TX before moving on to Grayson Co., TX where Richard apparently died in
1859.
(He is on the county tax roll for 1859.
Have not found any of the remaining family on the 1860 census, but on the
1870 census Virginia and Mary Dorinda were living with their sister
Adaliza's
family.
I don't know for sure just what happened to Mary Eliza. There was a Mary
Price on "Confederate Indigent Families Lists of Texas 1863 - 1865". She
was
found on a list of indigent women in Grayson Co., whose husbands were in
the
army or widows whose sons were in the army or had died in the army. Mary
E.
Parr Price fit this description.
I have been unable to find burial places of either Richard or Mary E.
Price
in Grayson Co. Correspondence with another Parr researcher, Helen Young
of
Austin, TX told me that most of the Parr researchers she has contact with
think Mary died about 1881.
This is pretty much all I have about Richard Carr and Mary Eliza Price,
parents of my G.Grandmother Willie Ann Price Riddell.
