Newton Gilbert Newton

Newton Gilbert was born on February 13th, 1859 in ,,Tennessee.¹   Newton Gilbert's father was James Gardner and his mother was Anna Myers.  His paternal grandparents were John Gardner and Sophia; his maternal grandfather was Henry Myers. He had six brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John Alfred, James, Henry, Jarvis Wiley, William G., Jacob Tillman, Sarah Jane, Nancy E., Rebecca, Hattie Miranda and Gardner.  He was the youngest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 70 on November 23rd, 1929.¹
