Samuel Mauk

Samuel was born in 1818 in Of Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Samuel's father was Henry Mauk and his mother was Margaret Latture.  His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mauk and Elizabeth Bowles; his maternal grandparents were Harmon Latture and Agnes Boles. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Henry, James, Sarah, Joseph, David, Enoch Tennessee, Elizabeth, Nancy A., Louisiana and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the thirteen children.
