John Mauk

John was born in 1820.¹   John's father was Henry Mauk and his mother was Margaret Latture.  His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mauk and Elizabeth Bowles; his maternal grandparents were Harmon Latture and Agnes Boles. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, William, Henry, James, Sarah, Joseph, David, Enoch Tennessee, Elizabeth, Nancy A., Louisiana and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.
