George Lipe

George was born on December 9th, 1838 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   George's father was William Lipe and his mother was Frances.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Lipe and Elizabeth. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Daniel F., William Eldridge, Rufus, Francis D., Robert D., Elizabeth Jane, Mary Ann and Laura.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.
