Samuel Hughes

Samuel was born in 1800 in Of Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Samuel's father was Abner Hughes and his mother was Rebecca Woodward. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, James, Abner, Sarah, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William, Joseph, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Maria, Louisa, Elizabeth and Lucinda.  He died at the age of 81 in 1881.¹
