Elizabeth Hughes

Elizabeth was born in 1822 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   Elizabeth's father was Abner Hughes and her mother was Sarah Iddings.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph Iddings and Alice Howell. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, Benjamin, Jeremiah, Maria, Louisa and Lucinda.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Samuel, John, James, Abner, Sarah, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Mary.
