Sarah Haynes 
Sarah was born on December 18th, 1801 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Sarah's father was Christopher Haynes and her mother was Frances Turner. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Bythell Haynes and Anne Bell; her maternal grandparents were Jesse Turner and Phereba Hobgood. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Christopher, Jesse Turner, Francis, Ferubba Or Phereba, Lucy, Jane and Mary. She had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Turner, Henry, Drury Alsobrook, Jesse and Nancy. She died at the age of 86 on June 13th, 1888 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee. Sarah was alive 3 Dec 1874, when she signed a sworned testimony as t o the
validity of the service record of Jesse Spears, on behalf of her sist er,
Ferubby Spears.Witnesses were her son Landon Haynes Charles and Luc y Alice
(Spears) Charles. Lucy was niece to Jesse and daughter-in-law to Sar ah, having
married her son Jacob W. Charles.
