Mary Haynes 
Mary was born about 1765 in ,Halifax, North Carolina.1 Mary's father was Francis Bythell Haynes and her mother was Anne Bell. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas III Haynes and Bythell; her maternal grandparents were William Bell and Ann Jones. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Bythell, Christopher, Thomas, Francis Lawrence, William, Anna, Lucy and Hannah. She was the third youngest of the nine children.-
