Susan Hawkins

Susan was born in 1765 in Virginia.¹   Susan's father was Samuel Hawkins and her mother was Anneka Jane Edwards.  Her paternal grandfather was Joseph Hawkins; her maternal grandfather was Richard Edwards. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Richard, Samuel, Sarah, Jane, Rebecca Sullivan, Mary and Caroline.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
