William Goff 
William was born in January 1837 in ,Owen, Indiana.1 William's father was Josephus Goff and his mother was Anne Clark. His paternal grandparents were William Goff and Mary Oliver; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Clark and Hannah Rock. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Hugh, John R., James, Silas A., Polly Ann, Elizabeth, Louise, Emily and Matilda. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Isaac G., Joseph B. and Lucinda. He died at the age of 66 on August 30th, 1903 in ,Effingham, Illinois. He was buried in Moccasin Cem., Effingham, Illinois.1 1 -
