Lucinda was born about 1862 in ,Owen, Indiana.1 Lucinda's father was Josephus Goff and her mother was Dicy Ann Haltom \Halland. Her paternal grandparents were William Goff and Mary Oliver; her maternal grandparents were William Haltom and Elizabeth Sugg. She had two brothers named Isaac G. and Joseph B.. She was the oldest of the three children. She had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Hugh, William, John R., James, Silas A., Polly Ann, Elizabeth, Louise, Emily and Matilda.-
