John R. Goff 
John R. was born about 1842 in ,Owen, Indiana.1 John R.'s father was Josephus Goff and his mother was Anne Clark. His paternal grandparents were William Goff and Mary Oliver; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Clark and Hannah Rock. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Hugh, William, James, Silas A., Polly Ann, Elizabeth, Louise, Emily and Matilda. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Isaac G., Joseph B. and Lucinda. He died on July 28th, 1864 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia.1 General Notes
