Polly Ann was born about 1832 in ,Owen, Indiana.1 Polly Ann's father was Josephus Goff and her mother was Anne Clark. Her paternal grandparents were William Goff and Mary Oliver; her maternal grandparents were Nathaniel Clark and Hannah Rock. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Hugh, William, John R., James, Silas A., Elizabeth, Louise, Emily and Matilda. She was the oldest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Isaac G., Joseph B. and Lucinda.-
