Robert Oliver was born on May 5th, 1823 in Rockingham Co., NC.1 Robert Oliver's father was William Goff and his mother was Mary Oliver. His paternal grandparents were William Goff and Nancy; his maternal grandparents were James Oliver and Susannah Lemons. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Josephus, James Oliver, John William, Samuel, George Oliver, Daniel, Susannah, Nancy, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 90 on June 27th, 1913 in Russell Twp., Putnam Co., IN.1 -
