Phraba was born on August 1st, 1863 in Adair County, Kentucky.1   Phraba's father was Archibald Combest and her mother was Mary Ann Roy.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; her maternal grandparents were Lemuel Roy and Eleanor Wilson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Andrew James, Lemuel, John, Silas Jackson, Martha Ann and Mary Frances.  She was the second youngest of the seven children. She had six half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Samuel, William, Cyrenius, Voluntine, Shelby, Infant Son, Sarah Ann, Nancy Emaline and Christina Ann.  She died at the age of 62 on April 20th, 1926 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.1
