Franklin Pierce Combest 
Franklin Pierce was born on October 10th, 1853.1 Franklin Pierce's father was James Marion Combest and his mother was George Ann Sloan. His paternal grandparents were Austin Eden Combest and Margaret Combest; his maternal grandparents were James Sloan and Nancy A. King. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named William Roe, Liberty Madison, Dewitt Clinton, George Marion, Christopher Columbus, Erasmus Grant, John Dowell, Sarah W., Luticia C., Mary Manderville and Flora Pierce\Paradise. He was the oldest of the twelve children.1 -
