William Skelton Christian 
William Skelton was born in 1834 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 William Skelton's father was William Lewis Christian and his mother was Elizabeth H. Thrasher. His paternal grandparents were John Christian and Nancy Skelton; his maternal grandfather was Isaac Thrasher. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Jesse R., Isaac L., M. C., James K., Joseph Frank, David Lyons, Elizabeth, Mary Elizabeth, Nancy, Rachel Matilda and Lillie Belle. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Eldridge, Stephen H., John F. and Mahala Jane. He died after 1882 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.1 -
