Rachel Caldwell 
Rachel was born in 1847 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Rachel's father was Andrew F. Caldwell and her mother was Hulda Dinsmore. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Caldwell and Sarah; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Dinsmore and Elizabeth Allen. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named James, Absalom, William, Jesse, Richard Anderson, Samuel J., Robert, Margaret, Elizabeth, Sarah, Matilda and Eliza. She was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Smith, Joseph, Elias, Calvin and Lucinda Jane.-
