William Cates

William was born in 1699 in Prince George VA.  William's father was Robert  Ezra Cates and his mother was Mary  Ann Randall.  His paternal grandparents were William  Abraham Cates and Margaret  Agnes Ingles. He had five brothers named Robert, Richard, Thomas, Benjamin and John.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 63 in 1762 in Orange NC.
