Hiram Shanks 
Hiram was born in 1852 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Hiram's father was John Shanks and his mother was Eda. His paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. He had four brothers and a sister, named Arthur, Riley, Nebuchednezzar, Clinton and Rachel. He was the youngest of the six children.
