Clinton Shanks 
Clinton was born in 1851 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Clinton's father was John Shanks and his mother was Eda. His paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. He had four brothers and a sister, named Arthur, Riley, Nebuchednezzar, Hiram and Rachel. He was the second youngest of the six children.
