Tristram "Trussie" PATTON 
Tristram "Trussie" was born in 1718 in Cumberland Co., PA . Tristram "Trussie"'s father was John PATTON and his mother was Matilda Ann WIDEMAN. His paternal grandparents were Matthew (The Martyr) (Patton) PATOUN and Christian PORTEOUS . He had six brothers named Mathew Leander (Old Matt), James , Joseph , Benjamin, John and Alexander. He was the youngest of the seven children.General Notes
Note: Washington's bodyguard during Revolution. After the war he taught school in Philadelphia, moving to Second Creek not later than 1795. Seeing a promising future in this new country, he sent for his brother Robert. They became large land owners and operated mills. He was a member of the New Lebanon Church, and is said to have been quiet, unobtrusive and well educated. He was much in demand by his neighbors to write legal documents.
