Jacob T. was born on December 20th, 1798 in Cumberland River, Davidson Co., TN. Jacob T. 's father was Daniel COFFELT and his mother was Gertrude SHRIDER . His paternal grandparents were Johann Philipp KAUFELDT and Eleanor E. "Nelly" RYAN . He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Daniel , Abraham, Isaac, James Henry , Phillip, Elias , Michael, Elizabeth, MARY ANN , Ellen Nell "Nellie" and Margaret. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 78 on April 7th, 1877 in Clay Co., TN .General Notes
