Jerushia Ellen was born on September 11th, 1841 in (Near) Marion, Lawrence Co., OH . Jerushia Ellen's father was John Sanford BARNETT and her mother was Mary Ann BAILES. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac BARNETT and Susannah UNKNOWN; her maternal grandparents were John BAILES and Mary "Polly" FOSTER. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Lycurges Hannibal, Orlando, Frances Royer, John Eden, Tymandra , Belvidere, Octavia Jane, Mary Ann and Susan Rosella. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 57 on December 1st, 1898.-
