Sarah was born in 1869.1 Sarah's father was Hiram Thompson and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Kegans. Her maternal grandparents were John Ross Kegans and Clarinda Pevehouse. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Silas, Victor, Don Allan, Fred, Charley, Cleve, Hiram, John, Truzilla, Ethyl and Willie.-
