Lacy was born on November 24th, 1908 in Mecklenburg County, NC.1 Lacy's father was Daniel Penick Thomasson and her mother was Mary Ella Black. Her paternal grandparents were John Barnett Thomasson and Mary Ann Sims. She had a brother and four sisters, named Calvin R., Marjorie M., Nena Faye, Daisy Rea and Ida Aleen. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at 1 months old on January 18th, 1909 in infancy. She was buried in Ramah Presbyterian Church, Mecklenburg Co, NC.1 1 General Notes
