Laura Jane Spain 
Laura Jane was born in 1828 in Lawrence, TN.1 Laura Jane's father was John Spain and her mother was Jane Hunter. Her paternal grandparents were David Spain and Abigail Roberts. She had four sisters named Martha Ann, Lavina Eleanor, Elizabeth Terel and Julia Ann Waddle. She was the oldest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named James A, John Henry Washington, Mary Jane, Sally Ann, Catherine Hannah and Abigail R. She died at the age of 15 in 1843 in Lawrence, TN.1 General Notes
