Harriett was born about 1842.1 Harriett's father was George M. Oehler and her mother was Elizabeth B. Thomason. Her maternal grandparents were Needham Thomasson and Elizabeth Spain. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, David, Catherine and Fanny. She was the oldest of the five children.General Notes
