Vollie Faye was born on March 14th, 1921 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.1 Vollie Faye's father was John Lemuel O'Steen and her mother was Alberta Mattie Hartsfield. Her paternal grandparents were John Jackson O'Steen and Anna Anderson; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Hartsfield and Celia Catherine Honeycutt. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Benoid Jackson, Charles Mayo, Bernard V, Alverne, Wanda Sue, Marjorie, Velna Ann and Living. She died at the age of 1 on June 7th, 1922 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.1 General Notes
