Alverne O'Steen 
Alverne was born on October 7th, 1919 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.1 Alverne's father was John Lemuel O'Steen and her mother was Alberta Mattie Hartsfield. Her paternal grandparents were John Jackson O'Steen and Anna Anderson; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Hartsfield and Celia Catherine Honeycutt. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Benoid Jackson, Charles Mayo, Bernard V, Vollie Faye, Wanda Sue, Marjorie, Velna Ann and Living. She died at the age of 35 on August 27th, 1955.1 General Notes
