Jacob Hartsfield 
Jacob was born about 1799 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia and his baptism took place there about 1799.1 Jacob's father was William Hartsfield and his mother was Cecilia Sexton. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Hartsfield and Sarah Lynn; his maternal grandparents were John Sexton and Mary Orsby. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Isiah, William, Elizabeth, Susanna and Unknown. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died about 1860 in Prentiss County, Mississippi.1 General Notes
