Alton was born on September 7th, 1919.1   Alton's father was Lewis B Nix and his mother was Othella E Jack.  His paternal grandparents were J C Nix and Miranda Germany. He had a brother and a sister, named Porter and Juanita L.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 45 on March 3rd, 1965 in Louisiana.1
