Elmer was born on May 5th, 1890 in Lamar County, Texas.1 Elmer's father was George Henry Moore and his mother was Lucy Esabel Boyd. His paternal grandparents were Frank Moore and Nancy Jane Runions; his maternal grandparents were Joe Boyd and Susannah ?. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Hurk Maness, John Norman, Willie Grant, Hoyle Love, Lloyd Maytubby, Edye Morard, Annie, Luvella Mae, Maude Eva and Odessa. He died at the age of 6 on January 18th, 1897 in Lamar County, Texas. He was buried in Old Denton Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.1 1 General Notes
