Jane Hartsfield 
Jane was born on May 6th, 1845 in Lawrence County, Tennessee.1 Jane's father was Matthew Hartsfield and her mother was Mary Magdaline Holly. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Hartsfield and Catherine Hannah Spain. She had six brothers and three sisters, named James Alexandrew, John Richard, Thomas Jefferson, William Jackson, Henry Saxon, Joseph M., Sarah, Mary Jennie and Francis Leaner. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 4 on June 18th, 1849 in Hempstead County, Arkansas.1 General Notes
