Clement Read 
Clement was born about 1835. Clement's father was Nicholas Cabell Read and his mother was Clarissa Jane Read. His paternal grandparents were Isaac II Read and Anne Mayo Venable; his maternal grandparents were Reverend Clement Read and Clarissa Jane Edmunds. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Isaac Archibald, George Whitfield II, Anne Mayo, Clarissa Jane, Harriet Scott, Sarah and Rosa. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
