David Meriwether 
David was born on September 2nd, 1739.1 David's father was Thomas Meriwether and his mother was Elizabeth Thornton. His maternal grandparents were Francis Thornton and Mary Taliaferro. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Nicholas, Francis, Thomas, Mary, Sarah, Anne, Lucy, Mildred, Jane and Elizabeth.1 General Notes
