Joel Wilson 
Joel was born on June 5th, 1802 in Stokes County, North Carolina. Joel's father was John Wilson and his mother was Sarah Skeen. His maternal grandparents were Matthew Skeen and Ruth Lamar. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Durham, John, Eli, Matthew Skeen, Ruth, Nancy, Martha and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 73 on March 24th, 1876 in Salem, Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana. He was buried in Wilson-Mead Cemetery, Polk Township, Washington County, Indiana.General Notes
