John was born about August 10th, 1331 in Southoe, Huntingtonshire, England. John's father was Robert de Ferrers Baron Ferrers of Chartley and his mother was Aeneas (Agnes) de Bohun. His paternal grandparents were John de Ferrers Baron Ferrers of Chartley and Hawyse de Muscegros; his maternal grandparents were Humphry de Bohun VIII Earl of Hereford & Essex and Elizabeth Plantagenet. He had a brother named Robert de Ferrers. He was the older of the two children. He died on April 3rd, 1367 in in Battle of Najera, Europe.-
