Mary Ellen McFerran 
Mary Ellen was born on February 15th, 1848 in Edwards, St Lawrence, NY. Mary Ellen's father was Samuel McFerran and her mother was Mary Ellen Beggs. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Beggs and Sarah Whiteford. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Samuel, Robert, John, Hugh, James Henry, Sarah and Nancy Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 88 on July 16th, 1936. She was buried in 1936 in Emerson Cemetery, Emerson, Manitoba, Canada.-
