Richard III York was born on October 2nd, 1452 in Fotheringhay Castle, England.1 Richard III York's father was Richard Plantagenet Duke of York and his mother was Cecily de Neville. His paternal grandparents were Richard Plantagenet Earl of Cambridge and Anne de Mortimer; his maternal grandparents were Ralph de Neville Earl of Westmorland and Joan de Beaufort. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Edward IV York, Edmund Plantagenet, William, John, George Plantagenet, Thomas, Henry, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret and Ursula. He died at the age of 32 on August 22nd, 1485 in Battle of Bosworth, Leicestershire, England.1 General Notes
