Bazil Cecil was born in 1913. Bazil Cecil's father was Steward Arthur Christie and his mother was Mary Myrtle Beggs. His maternal grandparents were William Thomas Beggs and Margaret Jane Hess. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Arnold Russell, William Gordon, Donald Clifford, David Roy, Lyle Harold, Orville Howard, Living, Ruby Beatrice Marguerite, Edith Eleanor May, Lillian Velma and Florence Alice Pearl.-
