William de Bohun 
William was born about 1311.1 William's father was Humphrey de Bohun and his mother was Elizabeth of England. His paternal grandparents were Humphrey de Bohun and Maud de Fiennes; his maternal grandparents were Edward I of England and Alianore de Castille. He was an only child. He died in September 1360. He was buried in Walden Abbey, Essex, England.2 1 General Notes

William de Bohun, K.G., Earl of Northampton.
He assisted King Edward III in the seizure of the Earl of Marc h in 1330 and from that time was one of the King's most active c ouncillors. He was created Earl of Northampton on 16 Mar 1336/7 . On 24 June 1340 he took a leading part in the King's victory a t Sluys, and was with him at the siege of Tournay. He fought a t Crcy on 26 Aug 1346, and participated in the siege of Calais . In later years he frequenly had licences to export wool, bot h as a means of recouping his expenses and on the King's behalf.
