Alpais was born about 0764.1 Alpais' father was Charlemagne Holy Roman Emp. Her paternal grandparents were Pepin III the Short King of Franks and Bertrada "Broadfoot" de Laon. She had four brothers named Charles of Ingelheim, Pepin I de Lombardy, Louis le Debonaire and Hugues. She was the oldest of the five children. She died after 0852.1 General Notes
