Henry (Henry Jr.) was born in 1792 in Newberry District, SC.1 Henry (Henry Jr.)'s father was William Summer and his mother was Eva Margaretha Sease\Suss. His paternal grandparents were John (Hans) Adam Summer and Anna Maria Margaret Josten; his maternal grandparents were Christopher Suss and Susannah Anhaus. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Mary Magdeline, Anna, Susannah M. (Susan) and Mary Margaret. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother named John Adam. He died at the age of 26 on June 23rd, 1818 in Newberry County, South Carolina. He was buried in Counts-Summer Graveyard, Pomaria, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes
