William Summer 
William was born on March 19th, 1764 in Newberry County, South Carolina.1 William's father was John (Hans) Adam Summer and his mother was Anna Maria Margaret Josten. He had four brothers and a sister, named John Adam, Nicholas, Francis, George Adam and Mary Magdalene. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 68 on September 24th, 1832 in Lexington District, South Carolina. He was buried in Summer Family Graveyard.1 1 General Notes

Member of Road Commission after first surveyed 1786, succeeding brother
Francis. Lived sw of the place now called Pomaria, just across the Newberry
line in Lexington Co.
