Anna was born in 1785 in Newberry District, SC.1 Anna's father was William Summer and her mother was Eva Margaretha Sease\Suss. Her paternal grandparents were John (Hans) Adam Summer and Anna Maria Margaret Josten; her maternal grandparents were Christopher Suss and Susannah Anhaus. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Henry (Henry Jr.), Mary Magdeline, Susannah M. (Susan) and Mary Margaret. She was the second oldest of the six children. She had a half-brother named John Adam. She died in Dutch Fork area, Newberry District, SC.1 General Notes
