Mahaly Catherine was born on April 8th, 1849 in In or near Chapin, South Carolina.1 Mahaly Catherine's father was Andrew Shealy and her mother was Mary Caroline Sease. Her maternal grandparents were John C. Sease and Christina Bearberg Lowman. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Leonard L., Isaac, John Andrew, Noah Eusebious, Elizabeth Lucinda, Isabelle, Martha Ann (Emma), Alice Eugenia (Jane), Laura Anne Marilla (Susannah), Mary and Cummings Ada. She was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 73 on June 8th, 1922 in In or near Chapin, South Carolina.1 -
