Laura Anne Marilla (Susannah) was born on October 10th, 1855 in Nr Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Laura Anne Marilla (Susannah)'s father was Andrew Shealy and her mother was Mary Caroline Sease. Her maternal grandparents were John C. Sease and Christina Bearberg Lowman. She had four brothers and seven sisters, named Leonard L., Isaac, John Andrew, Noah Eusebious, Elizabeth Lucinda, Isabelle, Martha Ann (Emma), Mahaly Catherine, Alice Eugenia (Jane), Mary and Cummings Ada. She was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 72 on June 15th, 1928 in Near Chapin, South Carolina. She was buried on June 16th, 1928 in Comalander Family Cemetery, Near Chapin, SC.1 1 -
